SITE DEVELOPMENT

We have a long history of commercial development in the Northwest Tennessee area. We have performed site grading and drainage work for stores, restaurants, pharmacies, playgrounds, parking lots, schools, subdivisions, and waterfowl habitat. We have also built industrial ponds and levees complete with liners. We have built good relationships with vendors and subcontractors to handle as much of the project as necessary.

The Breakers of Swan Bay • Buchanan, TN
As the prime contractor for the infrastructure of a gated community and marina, our project consisted of approximately 50,000 CY of excavation, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water, electricity service, curb and gutter, paving, two segmental block retaining walls, and construction of a thousand foot breaker wall in an old road bed on Kentucky Lake.

Lowe’s Home Improvement • Paris, TN
As part of the Skanska USA Building team, we demolished an existing shopping center, moved over 60,000 CY of material, installed over 2,000 feet of storm sewer, and placed over 15,000 tons of base for a new 100,000 square foot store.

City of Paris Industrial Park • Paris, TN
As the prime contractor for the City of Paris we graded over a mile of roadway, furnished 16,000 tons of base, and furnished water, sewer, natural gas, and paving under our contract. We later furnished the grading for a 60,000 square foot spec building within the park for Lashlee-Rich, Inc.

Pepsi Mid-America Distribution Center • Paris, TN
As a subcontractor working with Allen Searcy Builder-Contractor, we graded a 9.5 acre site, furnished storm sewer, and placed over 10,000 tons of base.

Adams Place Business Park • Paris, TN
As the prime contractor, we performed grading, base, paving, storm sewer, curb and gutter, and water & sewer for a 19 acre development.

Premier Nissan • Paris, TN
Working directly with the owner, we excavated 75,000 CY of dirt and installed a large storm sewer system with over 300 feet of a double 42” line of reinforced concrete pipe.

HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION

Since the founding of our company, we have been involved in the construction of roads and streets for various state and local governments. We are prequalified for construction with both the Tennessee and Mississippi Departments of Transportation. We perform grading, storm sewer, and base construction as both a prime contractor and a subcontractor. We also pave with tar and chip paving, something we have done since the beginning.

TDOT • Carroll County - US 79 Widening
As the prime contractor, we widened three miles of highway south of McKenzie. The final cost of the contract was just under $16 million and included 200,000 CY of excavation, over 100,000 tons of base, nearly 20,000 feet of storm sewer, over 100 precast concrete structures, box bridges, water, sewer, and electricity relocation, curb and gutter, sidewalks, and asphalt paving. This project was a 2009 Finalist for the TDOT Commissioner’s Top Quality Award for Large Projects and for Partnering, which reflects project management and communication with suppliers, subcontractors, and TDOT personnel.

TDOT • Henry County Medical Center - Hospital Circle Widening
As the prime contractor, we widened and rehabilitated the nearly half-mile street including storm sewer, curb and gutter, base, paving, and construction of a concrete retaining wall. This project was complicated by the need to maintain access to multiple driveways to Henry County Medical Center, as well as a fire station, the ambulance service, a nursing home, a dialysis clinic, cancer center, several doctors’ offices, a daycare, and a public housing facility.

Various Contractors • Carroll, Henry, & Weakley Counties
As a subcontractor we furnished in-place over 700,000 tons of base from McKenzie to Dresden, TN, on a number of widening projects on State Route 22.

Highways, Inc. • Stewart County
As a subcontractor, we furnished in-place over 200,000 tons of base on a widening project on US 79.

City of Paris, TN, • Jim Adams Drive Construction
As the prime contractor, we built a half-mile of new three-lane street, with storm sewer, curb and gutter, a box culvert, base, and paving.

Various County Highway Departments
We have paved gravel roads with tar and chip paving on a number of contracts, including prime, mat, and seal courses.
